At the beginning of the year I joined InterNations - a expat community with more than 300 communities worldwide. InterNations brings together expats in specific locations and is a great way of meeting new people and people in a similar situation to your self.

The thing I like most about the expat communities is that there is a real sense of support; everyone has been through similar transitions and I have noticed this trait, particularly in expat bloggers, who really rally behind one another. And now my little expat blog is sitting happily on the InterNations pages amongst some other great guides.
If your an expat, anywhere in the world, the website is well worth a visit. With so many communities around there world there is bound to be one for you.
