sunshine makes the world go round

As a born and bred British girl, brought up on the edge of London, the arrival of sunshine in April means one thing; drop everything and enjoy the rare sight, smell and feel of it because you dont know how long it will last or when it will be back. And this is exactly what I have been doing for the past few weeks. In between working and pre-made plans, the great outdoors has been my new best friend.
While I'm a self confessed city girl, who will freely admit the countryside, and the thought of being isolated without a shop in sight, scares me to my inner core, i do like fresh air and beautiful views.

Yes, fresh air and beautiful views are too available to us Londoners, if you are willing to look beyond the concrete jungle and ignore the sound of heathrow. And over recent weeks I have walked, run and dordled around streets, parks and museums, which quite appropriately explains the silence on this neglected and unloved blog of mine.

But can you really blame me. Sunshine is a rarity and it really should be made the most of, especially with Marble Hill park, Richmond Hill and Pembrook Lodge on my doorstep. So since the rain has returned I thought it was about time to show my blog some love. However this is going to be short-lived, with a weekend of birthday celebrations ahead of me.

We will have to wait and see what May and my twenty-second year will bring. Im hoping it's diamonds but I wont be holding my breath.
